The Friends of Cedar Hill Park have been active in maintaining the natural areas of the Park since 2006. Our work is done in the natural areas of the Park outside golf course boundaries under the Saanich Pulling Together Volunteer Program.
Weekly invasive species removal at preplanned areas of the Park: We work under the direction of Lead Steward, Jim Moores every Monday morning from 9 am until 12 noon. Please let us know if you would like to join us through our email address: FriendsofCedarHillPark@gmail.com
On Monday July 29th we will again be working on the east side of Cedar Hill Park. Our start position is just north of the Derby road entrance to the golf course. Meet at the sign that is located about 35 metres north of Derby. Parking is available in the gravel parking lot adjacent to where we will be working. 9 to noon or what ever time you can spare.
Thank you for all your hard work.
At your request, we will add you to our weekly email to advise where we will meet. You will need good boots, old clothes and garden gloves. We will provide the necessary tools. No experience is necessary.
If you are interested on helping us and you have not yet signed "The Corporation of the District of Saanich - RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT", please print the appropriate form (below) and bring a signed copy (or email us and we will bring a form for your signature) to the next event.
